In 2002, at ages 11-14, the quartet now known as LoveNotes began as a Young Women In Harmony quartet through Sweet Adelines International. The group, then called UnderAge Quartet, performed and competed regionally at the youth level until they won the 2005 International Young Women In Harmony competition in Greenville, South Carolina.
After their YWIH win the group continued to work at their craft, perform, educate, and compete at the adult level through Sweet Adelines. In 2009 they became Regional Champions for Pacific Shores Region 12 and started competing at the International level with the world's best barbershop quartets. LoveNotes also competed in the larger a cappella community. They participated in Harmony Sweepstakes a cappella competition in 2009 at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco where they won 1st place and also received the award for Best Original Arrangement for Bohemian Rhapsody. They went on to compete at the Harmony Sweepstakes Nationals where they placed 2nd while also winning the Audience Favorite award. In November 2009 LoveNotes appeared in Nashville to compete for the first time on the international stage. For several years they continued to excel and progress in their craft, capturing two Audience Favorites awards along the way. In the Fall of 2013LoveNotes was crowned the 2014 International Quartet Champion 'Queens of Harmony' at the Sweet Adelines International Quartet Competition in Honolulu, Hawaii. They were also chosen as winners of the Celebrity Award by Neyla Pekarek of The Lumineers.
Over the years LoveNotes has had many amazing opportunities. They have sung the National Anthem for numerous professional sporting teams, participated in America's Got Talent in both Los Angeles & Las Vegas in 2007, and appeared on Access Hollywood. They had the honor of being invited as guest performers in Germany for the BING (Barbershop in Germany) festival at the world-renowned Konzerthaus Dortmund in 2008. In 2016 they became the first Sweet Adelines representatives to be welcomed as international guest performers in Vaasa, Finland. They have also performed and taught workshops in England, Spain, Holland, Switzerland, France, and New Zealand. As professional performers, LoveNotes travels approximately two weekends per month sharing their music through performing, teaching, and coaching.
LoveNotes sings a wide variety of music from traditional barbershop to musical theater to jazz to classical to contemporary pop. A LoveNotes show appeals to young and old alike. They have released 5 CDs: “Moments to Remember,” “We Go Together,” “All You Need Is…♥,” “From The Heart,” and their most recent CD, recorded and released in 2016, “Friends.” LoveNotes quartet is committed to excellence in their craft and entertaining audiences with their youthful energy.
